Day 208

I am the incredibly lucky mother of this boy! He is so sweet, and I love spending time together:)

Day 207

I drove Cassidy up to Heber City this morning to drop her off at girls camp. She was lucky enough to go to the Katy Perry concert last night and was unable to ride up with the rest of the girls in our ward. Haley went up with Gabrielle the day before, and so I picked her up and brought her home with me. As we were driving up Provo canyon, I was struck by the beauty of the mountains. There were some low clouds over Deer Creek reservoir which made for some awesome shots. I kept thinking how much the canyon and lake reminded me off Germany. Maybe it is because I want to return there so badly! On the way back from the drop off, I had Haley take a picture of the backside of Timp. We are so lucky to live in such a beautiful state!

Day 206

Kevin's work experience at Bromley's Pizza has come in handy at home!

Day 205

Happy Pioneer Day Utah!

Day 204

In lieu of my own photo today I am posting a picture of a house fire in my neighborhood. We saw the smoke, and as we came around the corner near the house we saw the destruction. I have never seen up close and personally any thing so sad and devastating as seeing the sweet owners of this house sitting on the curb across the street from their house just watching it burn. Just awful today:(

Day 203

Dinosaur museum today for Friday Fun!

Day 202

Tonight Kevin and I went to the Knight Ranger, Foreigner and Journey concert at Rio Tinto Stadium. I am not a huge fan of the first two bands, but I loved Journey in high school. They have replaced their lead singer Steve Perry with someone who sounds just like him, and they sounded great after all these years. My favorite part of the concert was watching Kevin play air guitar and the drums. He was definitely smiling and happy!

Day 201

I have been looking for a pearl ring that I like for years. I came across this one today and had to have it. Pearls just make me happy!

Day 200

2nd day of swimming lessons for Keaton, and he is doing so great! I am so proud of him and his "conquer everything" mentality!

Day 199

Cassidy and I once again combined our efforts for an amazing meal:) She made the pizza crust and I made the pizza! So good!

Day 198

I truly believe that I have a Provencal heart. Either that or I am secretly deep down Italian! I love lavender, and would plant my whole yard in it if I could:) As it is, we have a lot of this beautiful plant, and my goal is to have whenever or wherever my kids are in this world when they smell lavender, they think of me!

Day 197

Finally got the water slide up and running! So much fun for the backyard!

Day 196

Dining on the patio at Tuscany was a real treat for us. So relaxing, and the food was so good!

Day 195

The day is finally here! Harry Potter 7 part 2 opens tonight at midnight, and yes we shall be there! We are Potter heads!

Day 194

Cassidy and I combined our efforts today to make a Caprese Quinoa Salad with basil infused olive oil. Since we have basil growing in our window boxes (yesterday's pic!), we had plenty to make this fabulous oil.

Day 193

I love basil. We decided to plant it in our window boxes as it is as beautiful as it is flavorful!

Day 192

We love Los Hermanos chips and salsa!

Day 191

I love english roses. They are beautiful and they smell great! I am so glad that we decided to plant them near our bedroom windows:)

Day 190

Day 189

Kevin and I come up with some great things to eat:) Yum!

Day 188

What a fun day we had today! Blake and Kris told me about this fun place to visit while down in Ivins, and we found it! Veyo pool is a mineral spring pool and a slow moving river in the shade of trees. The river is located in a canyon called Crawdad Canyon. It was a fun and cool way to spend the day!

Day 187

My all time favorite place to shop at while visiting St. George is the 'indian store". I have tried to tell people about it, but have never known the official name of the store:) They have the most beautiful stone jewelry at the best prices I have ever seen with the exception of Mexico, but I can be assured that this is the real stuff!

Day 186

My dad took Keaton to the camping store today to buy him a tent. I can't even tell you how excited he was about it. They had a great time together, and it warms my heart the relationship that they have. Keaton sure knows how to bring out the "softy" in my dad!

Day 185

We decided to visit my parents in Ivins, and while walking around the block we came across these huge Rosemary bushes. I had Keaton stand by one to show the size. I think that there is no need for people to buy Rosemary in Ivins for recipes!

Day 184

Happy 4th of July! We had an awesome day today! We started off the day in the hot tub:) When Keaton would get too warm, he would go do headstands in the wading pool. In the evening we went to the RSL game. The ref's were horrible, but the team played well. At the end of the game the score was 3-3. What a fun holiday!

Ikea purchase. These little beauties are fantastic added to baked goods such as sweet breads, muffins and waffles.

Day 182

Happy July 1st! The summer is just cruising by way too fast! We met Kevin for lunch today on the corner of University and Center today in Provo, and stumbled upon the outdoor market set up for the Freedom Festival. The main attraction was hair flowers. Almost every both had them. Bless Keaton's heart, he is just so patient waiting for the sisters to find the perfect flower for their hair. His reward was a couple of leather and silver tie bracelets with pirates on them. What a fun friday!
