Cassidy's ring from Canada. It is called a Druzy stone, and it changes from purple to blue depending on the light. Pretty cool!

Day 88

Sometimes the oddest things catch my attention. I was walking back to the car after a fabulous lunch with my sweetie and saw the side of this old building . The paint is fading, the words are becoming unreadable and the whole side of the building is falling into disrepair. In front of the building there is a 'for sale' sign with a picture of an updated modern building. I thought to myself how sad that this old charming building was going to be changed into something new and modern. Center street in Provo is full of these old buildings, and I thing that a new looking building will be out of character for the rest of the street. Some things are better left alone. New isn't always better.

I will be honest. I just don't get this. Maybe women just don't have the "pinewood derby" gene, but if you ask me, I think this is just a stupid idea:) Give a boy and his dad a block of wood, 4 nails and 4 cheap plastic wheels and expect them to build a race car. And know this, if your child doesn't win the stupid race, he and his dad will feel like failures. Not the best way to make for a bonding moment!

Day 85

Real Salt Lake vs. Los Angeles Galaxy is always a fun game to go to because of the Beckham factor. The games are always sold out, and it is just a way for us to have some sort of connection to the British soccer that Kevin and I love so much. Tonight was a blow out game. Real Salt Lake won 4 - 1. Raining and cold it was still worth it!!

Day 84

Gabrielle held her birthday party tonight at Jack and Jill's bowling in Lehi. She invited 8 friends, all who showed up! What darling girls they all are:) I can't believe that she is 12!

Day 83

Kevin made the kids a deal if BYU won the game against Florida, he would take everyone to Red Mango for frozen yogurt. At the end of regulation they were tied and the kids were really cheering for BYU:) Unfortunately, the game didn't end in BYU's favor, but we thought that it was a valiant fight worth celebrating:)

I can't decide if this painting of David is wearing a mexican rug over his privates because this used to be an Italian restaurant turned Mexican, or if it is because it is in Provo where "Modest is Hottest"!

So close to spring! The trees are trying to bud out:) The weather has been so weird, sunny one minute then snowing the next. The result? Beautiful cloud patterns in the sky!

"Ole, Ole, Ole, Ole, Real Salt Lake!" We have such fun attending these games. Tonight was a semi-final game against a team from Costa Rica in the CONFACAP Champions League tournament. Real won which was awesome!

Keaton's version of a "Valley Girl" complete with gum chomping and hair flipping! He makes us smile every single day!

They have waited so long for this! To be able to go outside and shoot some goals. It has been a long time coming:) I love my boys!!

Tonight we watch BYU play San Diego State University in the Mountain West Conference Final. They unfortunately lost, but we were able to watch Jimmer Fredette play for BYU. He has been all the rage this season because he can score from wherever he shoots from. He is quite amazing. In last nights game against UNLV he scored 52 points. He is the picture of today:)

Today was Gabrielle's introduction to Timberline Middle School. She is nervous and excited about heading to Junior High:) She is growing up so fast! I know that she will love Timberline like her sisters did.

Haley and Cassidy attended the Lone Peak vs American Fork state basketball championship game at Weber State today (Lone Peak won the 5A Championship). While they were gone we took the younger two to see the movie "Rango". On the way home we stopped off at the store to buy some milk, and for the first time this year on display outside were some primrose flowers. I immediately stopped to take this picture:) I am so excited for Spring!

My husband is a stud! He is a soccer player stud:) He loves the beautiful game, and plays with a rec league once a week, and runs his little heart out! He doesn't quit, and he has improved vastly from when he started about three years ago. He is a great example of always trying new things no matter how old you are. He wishes he would have started playing soccer when he was a kid. Who knows what could have been?

I love the color blue. This picture doesn't do this scarf justice as it is varying shades of blue, but the photo of Cassidy wearing it with the blue shirt kind of shows it. I love blue!

Ole, Ole, Ole, Ole Real Salt Lake! Today was the first game of 2011. Not a regular league game, but rather a Champions League game. They won 4-1, so they advance to the next stage. We have been looking so forward to these games. It was worth braving the cold to see the game:)
